About Me

Sandy Walker, Freedom Coach

Sandy Walker

I have been passionate about freedom ever since I discovered that I wasn’t free. For me, this was a hard process. First, I didn’t realize how “unfree” I was until several events occurred to point this out to me. I had become numb to my insides, unaware of how walled off I was to the outside world.

A friend in college pointed me to my first step toward freedom and I immediately noticed a change in my life.  This made me hungry for more. Soon thereafter I went through several more experiences that allowed me to take small but significant steps toward freedom. However, I never felt like I really understood what was happening or why. I read everything I could on the subject and could not find a simple, practical way to find freedom. As my freedom grew, I began to realize how much those around me needed freedom. I wanted something to help them find freedom too. It seemed like a complicated process with no clear answers.

Over time as I kept searching, I developed some steps that were simple to take that brought me lasting freedom from fear, rejection, low self-esteem, etc. I found friends who were also interested in trying them out. We were amazed at the changes we experienced in our lives. We were enjoying more peace, more joy, less stress and less relationship conflict. It was great! So I put them in a book, Freedom through Forgiveness. Available on Amazon. For more info, go to the page, My Books.

    • Thanks, Jenn! I appreciate your comments and the nomination. I like your blog concept: SHOW ME WHO YOU REALLY ARE – I KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE HIDING. IT’S TIME TO COME OUT AND PLAY.

That is soooo true! It IS time to come out and play. Many, many people hide – it’s so sad. We need to be our real selves – to enjoy and validate each other for being authentic. Thank you for writing your blog and encouraging others to be themselves. You are a positive force for GOOD in the world – for this I thank you. 🙂

      • Thanks so much, Sandy!

I totally agree! And the best way I personally know to help others feel comfortable with being their real selves . . . is to be that myself.

And I had to laugh after reading your comment about me being a positive force, not because the comment itself was funny . . . but because I had become so used to being a scapegoat for others, that it took me completely by surprise. The laugh came from the realization that I have changed and healed so much that I’m now receiving new responses from others in life.

It used to be that I was “evil” for being myself . . . but now the tides have begun to change that I’m starting to be seen as “good” for being myself. And the only real change . . . is that I began to love me, even if that meant I was evil like others said. Something magical happens when you begin to love the inner little evil you with kindness . . .

      • That is a VERY powerful statement, Jenn. Wow – “…the only real change . . . is that I began to love me, even if that meant I was evil like others said.” Self-acceptance is definitely “magical” – it changes people’s perception of you. If you like you, then others will too! 🙂
